Barton Rouge
2015
TASTING NOTES:
This wine has elegance from the Merlot, backbone from the Cabernet
Sauvignon, spiciness from the Shiraz, dark berry fruit flavours from the Malbec
and zest from the Mouvedre. A wine pairing with enough oomph to hold up
against roasted tomato and red meat.
Barton Rouge
2019
TASTING NOTES:
Dark plum skin in colour with a black epicenter. Youthful purple rim. Welcoming,
dark berry fruit entry, captivating core of black cherries layered with sweet cigar-box and
caramel aromas. Mouth filling and in total balance with delightful caramel toffee nuances.
Dark chocolate texture completes the lingering aftertaste. Ready now but will mellow out within the next 7 years.
Merlot
2015
TASTING NOTES:
The saturated dense purple coloured Barton Merlot exhibits sweet blackberry
and dark cherry aromas with a dash of roasted almonds. On the palate it has
outstanding freshness, rich ripe fruit, good underlying acidity and soft ripe
tannins with a layered finish. A gaze down memory lane, a home-style cooked
pot-roast with the family on a Sunday…
Shiraz/ Cabernet Sauvignon
2012
TASTING NOTES:
Concentrated berries and white pepper spice with a hint olive can be found
on the nose supported by savory notes. The palate shows dark, juicy fruit.
Good wood integration and tannins are evident on the finish. You can pair
this wine with anything from a blue cheese burger to a peppery barbecue.

TASTING NOTES:
Silky smooth and medium-bodied with green apple and white pear on the
nose. Balanced and well-structured with tropical fruit and hints of apricot,
pineapple and honey on the palate which linger on the after taste. Pairs
well with foods that have a sweet and sour element like Southeast Asian
cuisine or pork chops with apples.

This wine is pale straw in colour. Bright, clear and brilliant. Subtle entry of
green tropical fruit aromas, predominantly freshly cut guava with underlying notes
of nettle and passionfruit. The secondary sweeter nuances of pineapple and white pear broaden
the profile appeal, ending in a cheeky quince final. Mouth filling freshness on the entry with a creamy
mid-palate and perfectly balanced, lingering finish. Ready now but will mellow out within the next 3 years.
Sauvignon Blanc
2017
TASTING NOTES:
This wine favours individuality and minerality ahead of pure, pungent fruit, but
still shows ripe tropical fruit, as well as grapefruit, granadilla aromas. There is
roundness on the palate, with citrus notes, kiwi freshness and a hint of green
tea, complemented by a lively acidity. A wine of substantial length and charm.
